In the Media

Every story finds its own way of being told. Some of mine have been shared on stages, others in long conversations on a podcast, and a few in the quiet detail of a written feature. What follows is a collection of the places my journey has landed, from the beam to the microphone, and the reinvention in between.

If you are here to understand how I speak, how I tell a story, and who I reach, this is the shortest way to see it.

In short: I speak and write on comeback, resilience, and reinvention, drawing on an Olympic athlete’s journey through setback, return, and what comes after competition ends.

A few pieces capture the heart of it. International sport press, national news, and broadcast television, each holding a different part of the same story.

International Gymnast [Print] sat with me after Paris 2024, where I spoke about how the comeback had sparked something in me that I did not expect to find again. A companion interview, Every person around me believed I could come back, traced the people and the belief that made the return possible. [Print]

The Y told the origin story, from a six year old at the local centre to an Olympic floor. It is the piece I point people to when they want to understand where any of this began. [Print]

Nine’s Wide World of Sports brought the comeback to national television, and The Canberra Times carried it into the mainstream press with a look at what they called my third coming. [Broadcast, Print]

More recently, Mirage News covered the work closest to my values, using my platform to keep young people in sport as the cost of playing keeps rising. [Digital]

Podcasts

Long form conversation is where a story has room to breathe, and it is where I feel most at home.

I joined The Moonshot Podcast to talk through the six months of training that followed a three year break, and the mindset it takes to return to the highest level. On PerformHappy with Rebecca Smith we spoke honestly about disappointment and resilience, and on the D8 Training Podcast I shared the mental and physical work behind qualifying for Paris.

I was also grateful to feature on the Australian Sports Commission and AIS series Beyond the Games, which supports athletes navigating the question of what comes next.

And when I am the one asking the questions, you will find me hosting ENbalance, a podcast built to give athletes a voice and to explore how sport can carry us well beyond it. [Podcast — Host]

Let’s work together

If my story feels right for your stage, your team or your audience, I would love to hear from you. I speak on rising, falling, and rising again, and on what it takes to build a life that holds after the applause fades.
